Rates Adjusment 2026

To our MRP Health family,

We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you of an upcoming update to our physiotherapy fee schedule at MRP Health effective from 1 January 2026.

Why we are adjusting our fees.
Over the past few years, the cost of running the clinic — rent, power, insurance, council rates, equipment, maintenance, consumables like tape, staff renumeration and professional development and courses etc — has continued to rise, along with broader inflationary pressures. We have endeavoured to keep our fee increases as modest as possible and note that the last time we adjusted our rates was July 2023. In order to continue delivering the high-quality care you expect (and deserve), an adjustment is necessary. Well, my accountant told me one was necessary.

What has guided our decision
In arriving at our new rates, we have referenced the recently released report by the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) — titled “Hourly rate for the provision of physiotherapy services”. Australian Physiotherapy Association+1

The APA report underlines the importance of basing fees on sustainable and value-based rates so that practices remain viable and able to attract qualified physiotherapists while delivering consistent care to clients.

What this means for you

  • From 1 January 2026 we are moving to a tier-based fee system to reflect the experience and qualifications of our team and our rates will increase accordingly.
  • We remain committed to transparency — should you wish to see the full table of our new tiered rates please see our website. To see the APA report please click on the link above.
  • We will continue to service our NDIS, compensable and DVA clients at gazetted rates.
  • Where possible, we will continue to offer concessionary or alternative pricing for clients in need; please contact us if you wish to discuss this.

We understand that any increase in cost can impact you, and we do not make this decision lightly. It’s actually the thing I hate most about owning a business. Our priority remains delivering excellent patient-centred physiotherapy care, and this modest increase allows us to maintain service standards, retain experienced clinicians, and manage growing operational costs.

Thank you for your understanding and continued trust in MRP Health. If you have any questions, concerns, or wish to discuss how the changes affect you personally, please feel free to contact me at the clinic.

Kind regards,

Drew
