Meet Kiko: MRP’s Newest Physio in Sydney

Say hi to Kristijan (or just Kiko, as his mates call him), the newest addition to the MRP team. With a background in elite sport and a passion for helping people move well and recover better, Kiko brings a hands-on, holistic approach to rehab. From weekend warriors to chronic conditions, he’s all about personalised plans, progress you can feel proud of, and keeping you doing what you love, without skipping a beat. With experience at the ACT Brumbies and Brisbane Lions, plus a soft spot for ankle and knee rehab, you’re in good hands. Outside the clinic? He’s probably bouldering, surfing, or volunteering with the SES. Yep, he doesn’t sit still!

What’s one small daily habit you recommend for long-term mobility?

“I live by the mantra that movement is medicine and strongly believe that keeping the body limber and mobile is a key element to long-term physical well-being. My non-negotiable day-to-day habits that I practice to sustain long-term mobility include a morning stretch with exposure to sunlight and a brisk 30-minute walk.”

You’ve worked with some big-name sporting teams. What’s one thing you’ve learned that everyday clients can benefit from?

“It is no secret that becoming a professional athlete comes with a lot of challenges, sacrifices, and an extremely high work ethic. Through working with elite athletes in contact sports like AFL and Rugby Union, one thing that everyday clients can take away from these athletes is being consistent with their rehab, staying positive through setbacks, and appreciating that minor progress is still progress.”

What’s your go-to way to unwind after a long day in the clinic?

“After a long, fast-paced day in the clinic, my ideal routine to unwind involves an oceanside stroll and swim and cuddling up on the couch with my dog Beans the beagle.”
